I believe that having a mindset of “not stopping halfway” makes plans come to fruition. Most recently, I think of myself as a fighter on a battlefield. No fighter braces himself up to a battlefield only to give in to his rival. A warrior’s thoughts are only to conquer.
Look at the story of King David in 1 Samuel 30, he was attacked by the Amalekites who took wives, sons, and daughters of his kingdom into captivity which made him greatly distressed. However, he enquired of The Lord on what to do and God assured him of victory. Now, David was strengthened hence, he and his army went to take back all their possessions and it is recorded that he fought the Amalekites from Twilight until the evening of the next day. The point is, he didn’t give up halfway but finished up.
What am I saying? Just because as a student, I had read the disease “Goodpasture syndrome” several times and kept forgetting it doesn’t mean that I should give up on medical school. On the contrary, I should keep repeating it for as many times as I forget until I finally get it. I have to finish up what I have begun ’cause I know what I want. The failure of an examination or a business idea doesn’t mean you should stop trying. Fighters do not give up on a battlefield.
Will you get tired at some point? yes. That’s why there’s always time to rejuvenate and get yourself back on your feet. Just keep going. No one said it was going to be easy. Only, try to finish up.
Tips that may help you,
Race At You Pace
Quit racing at someone else’s pace. Find yourself and know what works for you. The most important thing is that you achieve the required result.
Stop Comparing
I emphasized on this on a previous blog post, dealing with envy. In toxic comparison, you halt your progress to watch another succeed. Quitting comparison helps you focus on what is required of you, hence you produce more results.
Finish Up
This has a lot to do with self-determination. Have a mindset of victory and success, regardless of what happens. Every eminent person you know today fought and is still fighting battles.
May Not Be Easy
Prepare your mind for whatever comes. This helps not to quit at every whit of difficulty.
God’s Got You
Knowledge of this has kept me sane till date, lol. Being assured of His help reinforces me. I find courage in His Presence.
You are stronger than you know.
PS. Don’t forget to share with friends
