It’s amazing what true love does. True love really keeps no record of wrongs. Love isn’t self-seeking; it’s very much selfless. True Love pursues; it never gives up. True love is patient and not forceful nor demanding. True love allows you your willpower. This is God’s love to everyone. Oh how He pursues us because of His jealous, undying love towards us. How would I want to settle for anything less.
I believe we are all familar.. or rather over familiar with the story of Adam, Eve and God in the garden of Eden. No doubt, there was an intricate relationship between God and the couple. I mean the bible states that they had heard Him walk in the garden that day and then He called for them and asked, “where are you?” These guys very well knew the presence of God. In fact, God was their all in all. However, their sin by disobedience automatically created a rift between God and man. It’s God’s nature to repel from sin. He just can’t stand sin cause’ He’s Just and Righteous. This, the devil knew very well. The devil knew how God acted towards sinfulness. Clearly, he (satan) was intentional with that temptation.
God was grieved by what had happened but however sought a plan to win back the hearts of His children; to close the rift and restore the relationship that was before their sin. In Gen 3, He said the seed of the woman would bruise the head of the serpent; The seed – Jesus Christ. This word truly came to pass as God sent His Son whose death and ressurrection closed the rift between God and man and restored us back to our place with God. He calls us His righteousness in Jesus Christ His son. The best part is that He gave us His Spirit to continue in fellowship as it was in the garden of Eden before sin. To restore that intimacy with His children, Heaven was brought on earth – Jesus Christ and then, His Spirit after Jesus’ resurrection.
God’s Love – A Perfect Example.
Our Father’s love is the paradigm of what love should be. Let’s not settle for anything less of what our Father (Lover) has for us. Any “so-called love” anyone claims to have that is burdening, impatient, forceful, fear-instilling or unsafe, isn’t from The Father. We have to consciously sift through as to not miss His perfect will. Do not “settle”.
Your Priceless Worth.
Your’re indeed worth more than rubies. Heaven was brought on earth to have you back…wow. The devil thought he had you but God always has plans for His own as He did in Gen 3. So ladies – No, your bars aren’t too high. The right person will earnestly pursue you, climb those bars, seek after and keep you as a worthful treasure that you are. So yes, keep those standards high or the wrong people will easily find you.
This is just my little human, fractionalised understanding of God’s love. It goes way deeper, wider and higher to be understood or explained with words of men.
