“David built houses for himself in the City of David, and he prepared a place for the ark of God, and pitched a tent for it.
Then David said, “No one may carry the ark of God but the Levites, for the LORD has chosen them to carry the ark of God and to minister before Him forever.”
And David gathered all Israel together at Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of the LORD to its place, which he had prepared for it.”
”What did God say?” and “What is God saying?” should be questions we ask ourselves more often. This would minimize our mistakes, unfruitfulness, delays, and disappointments to a great deal. If we’re careful to listen to Him, we’ll discover that we have principles to follow and He has promises to fulfill.
Guidelines To Fulfill God’s Principles:
Seek His Counsel:
It’s rewarding to seek God’s counsel and hearken to His word. You can never go wrong when He instructs you. Rather, you’ll be honored and rewarded.
We know that it’s easy to instruct someone who listens and does what he’s taught to do. Whereas difficult to instruct someone who repeatedly disregards one’s counsel. Be wise.
Recall What He Said And Is Still Saying:
Stay Faithful:
If you fully obey the LORD your God and carefully keep all his commands that I am giving you today, the LORD your God will set you high above all the nations of the world. Deuteronomy 28:1
God will only fulfill the promise where the principle Is obeyed. More often than not, we read the promises and neglect the stated principle to fulfilling the promise. Obey Biblical principles and the promises attached to them will pursue and overtake you.
Take out 15 minutes of your time today. Get your old journals and remind yourself of things God had spoken to you about. Ask the Holy Spirit to retrace your steps back to know where you may have missed God’s principle and you can be sure to receive His promise.
